Learn how to sketch your own ghostie and burn using my techniques and style!

In this 2-hour class, you'll learn how to freehand draw your own ghosts and then how to woodburn using my specific linework technique and art style. You will need to have your own woodburner and bring your own wood blank(s).

We'll spend the first 30 minutes learning how to draw ghosts. I'll show you my method and how to add folds and details. Once you have a feel for that, we'll sketch a ghost onto our piece of wood and I'll walk you through the techniques for burning everything. You'll learn exactly how to burn lines and details like I do, and you'll learn about why I use certain nibs and techniques.

This class is meant to be exploratory and fun! It's okay if you don't love your ghost at the end of class. Learning how to freehand draw and burn without a template can be challenging, but that's why you're here- to learn and try something new! This class will be very relaxed and you'll be encouraged to let go of worries about standards of perfection.

1: Ghostiessss

Learn how to draw ghosts like this! Ghosties are trendy right now and people are using them in designs other than Halloween/fall decor. Once you know how to draw the standard ghost, you can make themed ghosts for all holidays!
 

2: Learn how to get very fine linework and details.

Crisp linework is my specialty. I use a variety of nibs to achieve my linework and you'll learn all about it. I will give you my tips and tricks for drawing the florals, fabric folds, and other details.

3: Simple florals

We will practice drawing simple florals that anyone (yes, YOU!) can draw and incorporate them into our little bouquet.
